
Ashley McPhie, MD, FAAP

Dr. Ashley McPhie, MD, FAAP is a pediatrician and the Chief Medical Informatics Officer (CMO/CMIO) at Tampa Family Health Centers (TFHC). Her journey began with an undergraduate degree at Xavier University of Louisiana, followed by medical training at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and a pediatric residency at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Since joining TFHC in 2014, she has risen as a physician leader who bridges clinical care and innovation.
At TFHC, Dr. McPhie has been instrumental in expanding access and improving care in Hillsborough County. She leads initiatives that harness data systems, informatics, quality measures, and cross disciplinary collaboration to ensure children and families receive care that is both compassionate and efficient. Her leadership fosters an environment where technology and patient needs align, not compete.
Dr. McPhie’s influence extends beyond TFHC. She serves on the Board of Directors for Healthy Start, vice chair of the Hillsborough County Advisory Board Medical Subcommittee, vice chair of the Dr. Kiran C. Patel Institute for Graduate Medical Education (KPIGME) Consortium and is an active member of the Black Infant and Maternal Mortality Task Force in Hillsborough County, addressing critical gaps in maternal and child health. In recognition of her impact, she was honored with the 2025 Betsey K. Cooke Member Center MVP Award from Health Choice Network. In 2024 she was named 2024 Business Woman of the Year by the Tampa Bay Business Journal and in 2022 was also named among their 40 Under 40 for her leadership and dedication.
Grounded in a passion for child health and a commitment to bridging innovation with humanity, Dr. McPhie continues to help shape TFHC’s vision of what health care can and should be, accessible, data informed, and deeply rooted in community.
